A man has been charged with the murder of his father after allegedly stabbing him multiple times in a suspected domestic violence disputein Sydney’s western suburbs.
Emergency services were called to Clouta Place in Emu Plains about 6.45pm on Thursday after reports of a stabbing.
Police arrived at the scene and found a 58-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his upper body.

Speaking to reports on Friday, Acting Superintendent Michael Cantrell said the victim was the father of the alleged offender.
He said the duo were known to police and had previous history of domestic violence.
“However, there have been no interactions with police for a number of years around domestic violence,” he said.

A 31-year-old man was arrested by police and taken to Penrith police station.

He has since been charged with murder (domestic violence).
The man was refused bail and is expected to face court on Friday.

Superintendent Cantrell said the incident was “confronting” for witnesses, police and paramedics.
“(It was a) very confronting scene and police did an amazing job to arrest the offender in the location,” he said.
