When Daniel Harper first saw the listing, he thought it had to be a mistake.
A small, two-story house on the edge of town was being sold for just $1. The place looked old and neglected, but structurally it seemed fine. The previous owner had died years earlier, and no one in the family wanted the property. The city simply wanted someone to take responsibility for it.
