Congratulations are in order for Today co-host Sarah Abo, who announced this morning that she is pregnant with her first child.
The 40-year-old host broke down as she revealed she and husband Cyrus Moran are about to be parents.
“I’m going to try and fail to maintain my composure. But yes, Cyrus and I are expecting a little baby,” she shared live on-air during Wednesday’s program.

The journey to motherhood hasn’t been an easy one, with Sarah sharing details about their struggle to fall pregnant.
“I know, it’s obviously very happy news and everything … It hasn’t been the easiest journey to get here, which a lot of people I know have gone through and will go through,” she added.
“It’s not as easy as you sometimes think that pregnancy will be.
“So, it has been a bit of a bumpy ride, but here we are. And yes, it’s getting harder to hide. As much as I’d like to bury my head in the sand and not address it, I think, yeah, we’re almost halfway now.”

Sarah and her steel mill trader husband have been married since 2012, with the breakfast show host preferring to keep her private life – including her partner – out of the spotlight.
Earlier this year, she opened up to Stellar’s Something To Talk About podcast, revealing why she prefers to keep her relationship private.

“It’s not as though he’s hiding. It’s just that he’s not in the media,” she explained.
“For some reason that seems to be hard to understand for some people. It’s like no, mate, I’ve got a weird job and a weird life, but he doesn’t.”

Prior to her happy announcement, Today co-host Karl Stefanovic could sense Sarah’s nervous energy and joked: “we’re getting married!” It was the exact mood shifter needed before Sarah launched into her personal news.
A tearful Karl also took the time to acknowledge how hard it has been for Sarah and Cyrus in recent months, trying to fall pregnant, enduring heartbreaking miscarriages, while also dominating the news headlines over her ongoing role on the show.
